These tiny, pea sized peppers grow wild in the jungles of Northern Peru. Aji Charapita peppers are rare and hard to find outside of Peru however, which makes them one of the most expensive peppers in the world.

This bushy plant will produce hundreds of hot, small, round yellow peppers. Aji Charapita peppers are quite spicy, with a fruity and citrusy flavor. The peppers are delicious added raw in salsas for a unique tropical taste, and are also great ground into powder.
